Oven is a thermally insulated chamber used for cooking and baking. Nowadays, oven is used in every family. So it is very essential and must to keep it clean. After baking and cooking the oven gets fairly grimy. Ovens are generally coated by carbon that can taint the food and even can cause the fire hazard. There are a few standard types of ovens and they have different cleaning methods.
Regular Ovens: Regular ovens must be cleaned regularly by hand.
Method of Cleaning: Remove the rack from the oven and wash it with warm water mixed with few drops of dishwashing liquid soap. Shake the water along with the baking soda and mix properly to spray the interior of the cold oven. Focusing on the charred and stained area until the carbon gets completely saturated left the oven for one hour. After that time period put on hand gloves and use a scraper to remove the loose end carbon. Again spray the baking soda solutions and sweep out the debris chip off. Then use the small brush and dust pan for cleaning. Wipe down the oven once more with half water and half vinegar solutions.
Textured Ovens: This type of ovens have porcelain layer, so it burn spilled food away while using your oven to bake.
Method of Cleaning: Remove the oven rack and wash it with warm water mixed with few drops of dishwashing liquid soap and wipe inside the wall of oven with a damp sponge continuously.
Self Cleaning Ovens: This type of oven allows the high temperature for cooking food and grease turned to ash automatically.
Method of Cleaning: While cleaning the oven you must keep your pets or children away from the kitchen. This type of oven heated in very high temperature and one can get a burning smell from it. Open the windows of kitchen to ventilate so that your family would not inhale the fumes. Remove the oven racks and wash it with warm water mixed with few drops of dishwashing liquid soap. After that push the oven self cleaning mode button to lock the door. It will clean itself for 2 to 6 hours of time. During this period all grease and burnt foods turn into gray ash. After processing oven will left to cool atleast2 hours. Then open the door and sweep the ashes with small brush and dustpan. Wipe the oven clean with a wet rag and clean inside with half water and half vinegar solutions.
Note: It is very important that you must clean the cold oven not in hot condition and avoid any chemicals or scrubber for cleaning as it could damage your oven.
