You Have Cleaned Your Oven the Wrong Way Your Whole Life – Discover Why

We know that oven cleaning requires a lot of work and time, and is not the favorite household duty of any housewife. However, you cannot just ignore it because every time you turn on the oven, the whole kitchen will be full of smoke. Moreover, it will have specific burning odor and the meals won’t taste as delicious as they should be.

I want to share my personal experience with you. I didn’t pay much attention on oven cleaning. I purchased brand new oven and in less than a year it was ruined. I cleaned the oven glass door twice a month and I was taking the bars out of the oven for regular cleaning. However, I hadn’t noticed that the bottom side of the oven was covered in greasy stains. To remove those remains of food, I actually used a knife to scrub them. Although I took these harsh measures the smell of burnt food was unbearable. I went to the nearby store and bought the most expensive detergent that was available in the store. I have to confess it almost made me vomit when I started the oven cleaning process. It was written on the label I should leave it to act for 15 minutes. So I opened all the doors in the kitchen and I got out of the room. 15 minutes later I came back and cleaned the oven with a damp cloth. It was covered in grease. I used another cloth to clean the inside of the oven once again. At the end, I was still not satisfied by the results.

I left my oven opened for several days to get rid of this strong odor of chemicals. That is why the next time I had to clean my oven I checked online for some effective oven cleaning tips that use natural products. Now I want to share my experience with you.

I am extremely satisfied by the incredible effect of baking soda on my oven. First, I wiped the oven glass door with damp cloth. That way I removed the surfaced dirt. Then I spread some baking soda and left it to act. After 5-10 minutes I took the wet sponge and cleaned the glass door easily. If you use this simple technique once a week, you will maintain the oven in good condition.

For cleaning the oven walls, I put a bowl of lemon juice in the oven and turned it on for 10 minutes. Then I left it closed for 15 minutes to cool down. When I opened it, I just had to wipe it with damp cloth. I can say that this oven cleaning method made my oven cleaner than the chemical detergent I used in my first cleaning procedure. In stead of lemon juice you may use vinegar, but there will be strong odor of this product in your kitchen. If you don’t like the smell of vinegar, just open the windows for several hours. The positive aspect of using vinegar in house cleaning is that it is effective for eliminating all the germs and bacteria. You can use it for cleaning the sink, windows cleaning or removing stains from the carpet. It has various applications and gives excellent results in each of them.

Another fabulous tool for oven cleaning is to leave a bowl of ammonia at the evening inside the oven. Make sure the oven is completely cold. It is better not to use it that day. In the morning clean the oven walls and glass door with damp cloth. However, if you suffer from asthma or other respiratory problems, avoid the use of this cleaning method. In addition to that, you should not use ammonia for cleaning gas hobs and ovens.

The major mistake for great per cent of housewives is that they rely entirely on chemical products. And I don’t mean only for oven cleaning!
